Shipping
I.O. Metro partners with professional freight and parcel shipping services to ensure your purchase is handled with care. We promise to provide you reasonable and competitive shipping rates based on your total order value, weight, quantity and dimensions of the item(s) being purchased.
Shipping Locations: We ship to destinations within the 48 contiguous United States. Special and remote location deliveries, such as island deliveries, may be quoted by contacting customer service.
Alaska & Hawaii shipping: we offer selective parcel shipping to residents in Alaska and Hawaii. Please contact customer service for more information.
International shipping: We currently cannot ship to International destinations.
P.O. Box shipping: We cannot ship to a P.O. Box. Please be sure to provide an accurate residential or business address during your order entry.
APO/FPO shipping: We currently cannot ship to military APO/FPO addresses
All orders ship Monday — Friday; weekends and holidays are excluded. All purchases over $100 will be shipped with a signature requested for delivery.
Product Availability: "In-Stock" items will ship from our distribution center within 5-7 business days of your order date. In the event that your purchase is temporarily out of stock, you will be contacted by a Customer Service representative.
Custom & Special Orders: Custom/special Orders are not "stock" items and will ship from distribution center within 10-12 weeks of the original date of purchase to most metropolitan areas. Product availability and pricing are subject to change without further notice.
Multiple Item Purchases: Multiple item purchases may have varying ship and delivery dates or methods based on product limitations. Shipping may be delayed on multiple item purchases until your entire purchase is filled. A customer service representative will contact you to discuss the most economical and time considerate method of shipping if extended delays are expected.
Sales Tax: State and local sales tax on the merchandise total is charged for items shipped to zip codes within the following states: AL, AR, GA, MO, MS, OK, TN, TX
Furniture
Most of our furniture and larger items will be delivered directly inside your home or across an inside threshold, including stair carries up to (2) flights prior to the threshold. If any piece weighs more than 300 lbs or pieces are greater than four, the shipment will only be available for delivery to the garage or first dry area. Deliveries do not include package removal, debris removal or assembly. If you desire white glove delivery please contact customer service immediately following the placement of your online order.
Furniture and larger items will be delivered within 2-3 weeks from the time the order leaves our distribution center to most metropolitan areas. Please know that the provided delivery and shipping time frames are estimated and subject to change.
All furniture and larger item deliveries are by scheduled appointment. When placing your order, please provide a daytime phone number(s) to allow the scheduling of your delivery. You will be provided a 3-hour window for your delivery. If you miss your scheduled appointment or request a time-specific delivery, additional fees will apply. We ask that you inspect your delivery and provide a signature upon receipt.
Additional Delivery Fees
Redelivery Fees: Redelivery fees ranging from $55 - $125 will be charged if you miss your delivery appointment
Stair Carries: $35 per additional flight of stairs in excess of (2) flights
Assembly Time: Assembly time exceeding 30 minutes will be charged an additional $25 per 15-minute intervals
Time-Specific Delivery: $85 - $125 will be charged to you if a one-hour delivery window is specified during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 8am — 5pm) or a time specific delivery outside of the provided 3-hour delivery window.
Accessory, Art and Smaller Items
Most of our accessories, art and smaller items will arrive via FedEx within 5-7 business days of being shipped. Purchases delivered via FedEx will not include additional services, such as assembly or item placement. You will receive an email notification containing your shipment tracking information along with a delivery completion email. A delivery signature is required for purchases over $100.
Some oversized items may be too large for FedEx shipping. These items will be shipped to you via a freight delivery service. Delivery on these items is by scheduled appointment. You will be provided a 3-hour delivery window. Items will be delivered to the first dry area or garage only. Additional charges may apply for, but are not limited to, time specific deliveries, redeliveries associated with missed appointments.
Tracking Your Order
As a courtesy, you will receive a series of (4) notification emails communicating the delivery status of your purchase.
- Your purchase has been picked up from our distribution center and is in transit to your metropolitan area (Transit takes 7-10 business days)
- Your purchase has been unloaded at the terminal closest to your destination (Delivery service will contact you with 48 hours)
- Your purchase has been scheduled for delivery
- Electronic copy of your signed delivery receipt
